Italia (in)canta

San Francisco Opera Guild Opera Scouts have been busy! Immersed in Italian culture, language, and music, this winter the troupe enjoyed prepping for this great adventure. Traveling to Venice, Florence, and Rome, these artistic students will be visiting the birthplace of opera, while soaking up all the sights and history.

First stop? Venezia! Here we will tour La Fenice, San Marco, The Doge's Palace, the Accademia, Bridge of Sighs, Murano, and sing a concert of Italian art songs, all while staying at an ancient monastery!

Next up? Firenze! We will tour the Duomo, Uffizi, Boboli Gardens, Ponte Vecchio, and visit with the Young Artists of Opera Florence.

Finally, on to Roma! Opening night of Tosca! The Forum, Colloseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, et al await this eager group of singers...
